Bio

Since being sworn in to the Quebec Bar in 2001, Annie Émond has pleaded cases before all levels of Court in Quebec as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.  Without exclusively limiting herself to those fields, Me Émond typically represents individuals in long-lasting files involving white collar or cyber crime. She has also served as an assistant in two trials before the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.

In May of 2018, Me Émond received the “Robert Sacchitelle Prize” from the Defence Lawyers’ Association of Montreal.  In November  of 2011, Me Émond was named “Criminal Attorney of the Year” by the Young Bar Association of Montreal.  In February of  2009, she received the “Prix reconnaissance Michel Proulx” awarded by the Defence Lawyers’ Association of Quebec and in May of the same year, she received the “Prix Gabriel Lapointe” awarded by the Defence Lawyers’ Association of Montreal.   

Since 2014, Me Émond has taught a course on cyber criminality, police investigations and the law at École Polytechnique.
