Bio

Cadene Russell Brooks focuses her practice on internal and government investigations, complex litigation, and white-collar criminal matters. She has conducted investigations involving potential violations of the False Claims Act and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as financial fraud, government contracting fraud, and anti-discrimination matters involving the DOJ, FBI, and Inspector General offices. Ms. Brooks also has experience representing clients in False Claims Act, consumer fraud, and criminal defense litigation, and she has counseled companies in developing their regulatory compliance programs.

From 2015 to 2016, Ms. Brooks served as a law clerk to the Honorable Carl E. Stewart, Chief Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is a former judicial extern to the Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan of the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Ms. Brooks was also an intern in the Homicide Section of the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.

Ms. Brooks is an honors graduate of Howard University School of Law where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Howard Law Journal. She is a graduate of Duke University.
