As a member of DLA Piper's Government Investigations and White Collar Criminal Defense practice, I focus on conducting internal investigations and defending clients in investigations and enforcement actions brought by U.S. and international regulators and related litigation. I counsel clients on a wide range of compliance issues and assists with the development and implementation of compliance programs while defending those programs to regulators. I represent corporations, Audit Committees, and individuals in criminal and internal investigations involving the Department of Justice (“DOJ”), the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), state Attorneys General, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (“OCC”), the Commerce Department, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), and other government agencies. I represent companies and executives in high-stakes matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, antitrust offenses, economic and trade sanctions, securities violations, False Claims Act, and trade secrets.
