Mandie’s practice focuses on complex business litigation. For almost 15 years, she has represented individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations in commercial disputes and professional liability matters, with an emphasis on internal investigations. Mandie’s practice includes representing and advising attorneys and judges in civil and professional liability matters, and representing health care clients and one of the state's remaining abortion clinics. Her practice also extends to state and federal criminal defense, including white collar matters and allegations involving sexual assault.
Mandie is a newly elected member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, where she serves on the civil law, judiciary, and natural resources committees. Her four year term began in January 2020. During her first pandemic-shortened session, she introduced legislation on voting by mail, criminal justice reform, and eviction protections. The governor recently signed HB 344, filed by Mandie, which prohibits solitary confinement for people who are pregnant or have just given birth. This was the first change to Louisiana's solitary confinement law in over a hundred years.
