Cherrisse R. Woods is an associate in the Investigations, Compliance & Defense practice group at Jenner & Block, LLP. She received her J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law in 2015. After law school, Cherrisse began her legal career at the Virgin Islands Department of Justice, where she worked as a criminal prosecutor assigned to the White Collar Crime, Public Corruption, and Special Investigations Division. She has prosecuted cases involving financial fraud and pursuant to the Criminally Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act (CICO).
Cherrisse has also participated in a number of criminal investigations with local and federal law enforcement agencies, which led to the arrest and conviction of perpetrators charged with financial crimes. Cherrisse is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She is also a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
