I went to law school to become a criminal defense lawyer. The American criminal justice system has to change and I want to be a part of that change. I am a board member of the Innocence Project of Texas and various criminal defense bars in Texas. As an appellate lawyer as well as a trial lawyer, it's probably unsurprising that I am a bookworm and usually have multiple books that I'm reading at any one time.
