Kate’s practice focuses on white collar defense, regulatory enforcement MATTERS, and complex commercial litigation.
Before joining Sher Tremonte, Kate was a litigation associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where she represented individual and corporate clients in both civil and criminal proceedings. During law school, she interned in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York in the Criminal Division, assisting with high-profile money laundering and securities prosecutions. Kate also served as an Honors Program Intern at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission in the New York Regional Office, where she worked on enforcements of the federal securities laws to promote fair markets.
Kate is an active mentor in NYU’s Lawyer Alumni Mentoring Program, through which she advises first-generation undergraduate students on how to apply, prepare for, and succeed in law school and in their legal careers.
