Mareine Gervais Cloutier practises tax litigation and is also a CPA, CA, Auditor. She is interested in all aspects of tax litigation as well as disputes in connection with fraud, securities and financial crime.
Holding a Master of Management with a specialization in public accounting, Ms. Gervais Cloutier wrote her master's thesis on the protection of whistleblowers.
A member of two professional orders, Ms. Gervais Cloutier also sits on the board of the Office des professions du Québec. This organization's mission is to ensure that the professional orders are providing public protection and advises the government on the continuous improvement of Quebec's professional system.
Ms. Gervais Cloutier worked for Norton Rose Fulbright Canada as a student and as an articling student, which allowed her to acquire litigation experience before the Court of Quebec (Civil, Criminal and Administrative Divisions) and the Superior Court of Québec (Civil, Criminal and Commercial Divisions).
Before joining Norton Rose Fulbright's Montreal office, she provided legal and tax services within a large accounting firm.
