Bio

Wendy is a Managing Director at Nardello & Co.’s Los Angeles Office. She is a recognized national expert and leads engagements in cybercrime and data breach response, digital forensics, information security, and intellectual property protection.

Wendy is a former federal prosecutor with more than 20 years of experience in advising clients in high stakes technical and litigation matters, guiding c-suite executives in navigating and balancing cyber risks with business strategy, and leading domestic and international teams in incident response and digital forensic investigations.

Wendy served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Los Angeles for almost eight years. In that role, she led investigations and prosecutions of computer intrusions, extortionate denial of service attacks, computer and internet fraud, criminal copyright infringement, theft of trade secrets, cyber exploitation of victims, financial fraud, and identity theft. She also prosecuted major drug trafficking, money laundering, and gang-related offenses.

Among her notable cases, Wendy was lead counsel in the first criminal trial involving violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and supervised an international investigation involving nation-state-sponsored computer attacks against healthcare companies. She prosecuted the operator of a “revenge porn” website, which is the subject of the Netflix documentary “The Most Hated Man on the Internet”.

Wendy began her career as a litigation associate at Proskauer Rose LLP, where she focused on white-collar criminal defense matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, securities, bank, and accounting fraud, tax offenses, and money laundering.
