Miriam Mazou is a certified specialist SBA (Swiss Bar Association) in Criminal Law. She specializes in white-collar crime, international judicial and administrative assistance, as well as commercial litigation. Miriam Mazou has extensive courtroom experience. She also advises clients in anti-corruption and asset recovery matters. She regularly publishes in her practice areas. She is lecturer at the University of Lausanne.
Miriam Mazou has broad experience representing individuals and entities in white-collar matters. She advises international and national companies, financial institutions, sports associations, and public authorities. She has served as lead counsel in numerous trials and hearings.
On several occasions, she could avoid her clients going to Court as her arguments have convinced prosecutors not to pursue cases against her clients under investigation.
Miriam Mazou studied law at the Universities of Lausanne and Bern. She obtained her attorney's degree in 2004 and has been working as a lawyer since then at Etude St—François.ch, where she has been a partner since 2011. Miriam Mazou has been a member of the editorial board of the Journal des Tribunaux since 2012 (Part lV Criminal Law and Procedure, Federal Jurisprudence). She contributes to reference works and periodicals. She regularly gives conferences and training courses in criminal law and procedure. She was a member of the Council of the Vaud Bar Association from 2018 to 2020. Since 2019, she is a lecturer at the University of Lausanne.
