Professional Profile

Rebecca Sim is an associate in the Litigation Group at Cassels Brock and Blackwell LLP. Rebecca offers experience on various types of corporate/commercial disputes, with a focus on securities litigation. Rebecca assists clients facing enforcement action by securities regulators and law enforcement at the investigative stage and throughout the enforcement actions on matters involving allegations of securities fraud, insider trading, market manipulation, illegal distributions, discretionary trading and money laundering.

Rebecca graduated from the J.D. program at Western University where she was a member of the Dean’s Honour List and a recipient of the Law Society of Upper Canada Prize. During law school, Rebecca was the researcher for Western Law’s Gale Moot Cup team. Rebecca was an active member of her student community as a co-director of the Western Law Peer Support program, a Teaching Assistant for a Legal Research, Writing and Advocacy class, and a volunteer for both Pro Bono Students Canada and the Sport Solution Clinic.
