Kristin Silverman’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation, investigations, and appeals. Kristin has handled a wide variety of litigation and government enforcement matters, including in the areas of consumer protection, employment, antitrust, securities, contract disputes, defamation, False Claims Act, and trade secrets. Kristin has special expertise handling class action lawsuits.
Kristin has also conducted internal investigations involving a range of topics, including allegations related to kickbacks, False Claims Act violations, discrimination, and retaliation. In the appellate area, Kristin has successfully handled appeals in federal and state appellate courts across the country.
Prior to joining the firm, Kristin worked in the litigation department of Mayer Brown for eight years. She graduated with high honors and as a member of Order of the Coif from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she served as an Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the law review. Kristin also graduated cum laude from Northwestern University with a degree in Journalism.
Kristin’s pro bono work has focused on public policy litigation involving various constitutional challenges, including relating to religious freedom and privacy.
