Kayla helps her clients navigate criminal and civil investigations, white collar criminal charges, and complex civil litigation. She has represented individuals and companies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries in alleged violations of the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute. Kayla is also passionate about criminal justice reform, international human rights, and nationality rights, and she has dedicated several hundred hours to pro bono criminal defense and immigration matters.
During law school, Kayla was an editor of Boston University Law Review, president of the Women's Law Association, vice president of the Middle Eastern and South Asian Law Students Association, and a first-year teaching assistant. She was also a student attorney for Boston University's International Human Rights Clinic, where she collaborated with Jordanian governmental, non-profit, and United Nations organizations to address statelessness in Jordan.
