Ellen Chinn serves as a Senior Managing Consultant with Berkeley Research Group’s Health Analytics practice in Washington, DC. Ellen specializes in analyzing large healthcare datasets to provide insight to healthcare organizations with complex issues. Her work entails identifying trends, benchmarking reimbursement, modeling exposure, and supporting testifying experts. She has a deep understanding of reimbursement methods employed by Medicare and commercial insurers and uses this knowledge to analyze the value of healthcare services in the marketplace. Ellen consults on both litigation and non-litigation matters, such as out-of-network disputes, false claims act investigations, personal injury litigation, and reimbursement rate setting.
Prior to becoming a consultant, Ellen completed her undergraduate degree in economics at The College of William & Mary. To further her education in the healthcare industry, she completed a certification in Health Finance and Management from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In her free time, Ellen enjoys reading (with a goal to read 50+ books a year) and exploring museums and restaurants in the DC area.
