Florida

The Florida Chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association is a statewide group of white collar practicing lawyers who have years of experience representing individuals and corporations in both criminal and regulatory matters.  Our lawyers handle internal investigations, compliance matters, anti-corruption, and the defense of all types of criminal, regulatory, and ethical violations.  Our chapter also includes consultants in the same field.  Our chapter started in Miami but has grown to include members throughout the state of Florida. South Florida has long been considered the gate way to Latin America and our members reflect the same cultural diversity. Many of our members have extensive healthcare fraud experience due to the large number of fraud prosecutions traditionally brought in Florida. Many of our members litigate matters throughout the State of Florida and both nationally and internationally.

The Florida Chapter launched in 2013 and its membership includes female partners, senior level associates and consultants whose primary practice area is white collar criminal and regulatory enforcement defense. The Group has events throughout the year which typically include networking breakfasts and lunches held at Florida law firms so that Chapter members stay connected and on top of mind. We also sponsor General Counsel panel discussions for our members to meet and connect with heads of in house departments. Our simple mission is to provide a forum and regular opportunities for Florida women to network on a local and national level, and to commit to sharing business with other women in both our local communities and around the country. The Florida group looks forward to working closely with the National group and other Chapter Leaders to help bridge relationships between our practices and theirs.
