Emmy is a Managing Consultant at J.S.Held based in Tokyo, Japan. She has a great deal of investigative experience in due diligence, fraud investigation, litigation support and sanctions investigation.
She has a diverse working experience in risk management, e-commerce, consulting, and media industry and enjoys engaging in investigation in different capacities. Previously she established a multinational team and led investigations to mitigate sanctions risks for Amazon. She has also previous consulting experience in Japan including EY and Kroll. Prior to this, she spent over 10 years as an investigative journalist working for two Japanese major TV networks covering global affairs and directing TV news programs.

- Retained by a Japanese global manufacturing company, led and managed an e-Discovery project to investigate whistle-blow case which alleged a US subsidiary's senior management's misconduct.
- Led and contributed in establishing standard investigation process to ensure Amazon complies with regulations by governmental/intergovernmental organizations such as OFAC, BIS, UN and EU.
- Led numerous investigative due diligence and background screening of company executives/employees who are allegedly involved in misconduct or deemed to take over managerial role
- Retained by a European insurance company, conducted e-discovery investigation and found the identify of whistleblower and misconduct by whistleblower himself.
- Engaged in evaluation of a first-tier global bank’s AML/FCC/Sanctions compliance remediation measures and reviewed the effectiveness of policies and procedures
- Conducted maturity analysis of AML/KYC measures taken by top-tier financial institutions
- Performed numerous forensic reviews of computer network and identified management and employee misconduct and fraud activities
