Bio

Cori Lable is a Los Angeles-based partner in Kirkland & Ellis' Government & Internal Investigations Group.  She previously spent ten years working in Hong Kong, where she launched Kirkland's white-collar practice in that city.  Cori concentrates her practice on advising global asset managers and multinational clients on defense of government and internal investigations, with a special focus on international risks related to cross-border investments and operations, including corruption, money laundering, economic sanctions, and financial fraud.  Cori has extensive experience working with clients in the private equity, investment management, industrials, hospitality, and pharmaceutical and medical device sectors facing regulatory and criminal enforcement actions related to potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other U.S. securities, trade compliance, and export controls statutes, and advising on cross-border implications of Asian regulatory enforcement actions.

Cori has been named for many years as a leading anti-corruption practitioner for India and China by IFLR1000, Benchmark LitigationLegal 500 Asia-Pacific, and Chambers Asia, in which clients praised her “broad experience on compliance matters and internal investigations across Asia,” and described her as “really exceptional in terms of advice.”  Cori's experience spans the Asia-Pacific region, where she has led numerous investigations in jurisdictions including India, China, Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
