Bio

Dr Ricarda Schelzke is a specialist lawyer for criminal law and a partner at Kayßer Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB. She advises, represents and defends individuals and companies in white collar criminal matters, constitutional law and the laws of professional conduct.

Before joining Kayßer Rechtsanwälte, she was a lawyer at Freshfields (with secondment in an international energy company), Hamm Partner and Klinkert Rechtsanwälte. Dr Schelzke studied at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco, USA. Her doctoral thesis was supervised by Prof Dr Frank Saliger.

Dr Schelzke serves on the board of the Wirtschaftsrechtlichen Vereinigung (WisteV) and on the constitutional committee of the Deutscher Anwaltverein. From 2016 to 2021, she clerked in a complaints department of the Frankfurt Bar Association. She regularly publishes on issues of white collar criminal, constitutional and criminal procedure law.
