Bio

Dina is an Experienced Manager in BDO’s Data Forensic Services. She assists companies with corporate monitorships, internal investigations, anti-bribery and anti-corruption risk assessments, and data analytics, among other things.

The majority of Dina’s focus has been on global companies, dealing with data concerns, corporate compliance and ethics, bribery and corruption, third party monitoring, or investigations. Dina is bilingual so her work extends to both English and Russian or Russian-speaking entities. She also has broad experience in expert testimony work, dispute resolutions, arbitration proceedings, insurance or business interruption claims.

While Dina has a background in forensic accounting and white collar work, she currently focuses on leveraging data analytics and data visualization tools, such as SQL Server, Tableau or PowerBI, to help companies develop risk-ranked strategies for addressing their business needs. Her work includes identifying outliers in financial data and assessing the overall state and effectiveness of a compliance program. She also performs transaction testing to identify red flags which could imply corrupt activity, instances of fraud, and/or violations of company policy.

Outside of work, Dina is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. She teaches a course on Strategies for Job Searching, focusing her efforts on mainly freshmen and sophomore students. She also is an active Alumni at UMD, and participates in various professional organizations such as the MACPA and AFWA.
