Bio

Background

Carla Lassabe earned her J.D. from the South Texas College of Law, where she served as editorial assistant to Currents: Journal of International Economic Law. As a student, Carla worked in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, where she helped low-income Houstonians on tax issues and helped them resolve tax problems. Outside of school, Carla interned at the First Court of Appeals and with the Department of Homeland Security.

Carla received many honors and awards during her education. She received Cali awards for earning the highest marks in six subjects and she earned positions in the Presidential Fellows, Dean’s Honor List, and the Order of Lytae. As a Langdell Scholar, Carla was selected seven times to lead substantive law course programs to guide fellow students based on her academic achievements, class preparations, study skills, and ability to effectively communicate.

Carla is trained and certified as a Texas mediator through the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution.

Committed to helping those in need Carla volunteered her time at Texas Law Help and at the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Clinic and was awarded Pro Bono Honors.

Carla joined Berg & Androphy in November of 2021 and primarily focuses on qui tam suits and white-collar criminal defense litigation.
