I am a partner at Stahl Gasiorowski Criminal Defense, with offices in New Jersey and New York. Our practice is state and federal criminal defense, with myself and my partner Robert Stahl, a former AUSA, focusing on federal criminal defense with an emphasis on complex white collar criminal defense and investigations. In the more than two decades I have been practicing, I have handled every variety of white collar crime: bank fraud, healthcare fraud, AKS prosecutions, insider trading, CFAA prosecutions, FBAR prosecutions, crytocurrency and NFT prosecutions, as well as terrorism, RICO and capital cases. Our firm also represents students in college and university investigations and disciplinary matters, which may also involve a criminal investigation. I am a Trustee of the NJ ACDL and a proud and involved pro bono attorney volunteer at Mobilization for Justice, a legal services organization in New York directed at providing pro bono representation to low income clients. I represent parents of children who qualify for special education services litigating denials of FAPE and advocating for services. This aspect of my practice and my prior experience in capital mitigation assists me in representing defendants with intellectual, developmental and learning disabilities in particular and in sentencing advocacy. I also participate yearly on a criminal-immigration law panel, presenting CLE courses on representing non-citizen clients, with special attention to language and cultural issues in litigating suppression motions, trials and sentencing, and the intersection of criminal and immigration law.
