Bio

Mariana Tumbiolo Tosi is a dual-qualified attorney (California, USA and Brazil), partner at Madruga BTW acting in the areas of business crimes and criminal litigation with a focus on white-collar crimes and money laundering. Prior to joining Madruga BTW, Mariana taught International Criminal Law and was an associate at the law firm Barbosa, Müssnich & Aragão Advogados – BM&A acting in the Corporate Ethics and Business Crimes Practice.

She has been actively working in several cases in the Car Wash Operation, representing individuals in plea bargains with the Brazilian Prosecutor’s Office, as well as several international companies in multijurisdictional agreements.

Member of the White Collar Crime Research Group at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas Law School, Mariana holds a law degree from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP), with credits earned from Harvard Law School; a LL.M. degree from Northwestern Law School; and a master’s degree in Criminal Law from the University of São Paulo, USP. Author of several publications on White-Collar Crimes, Money Laundering and International Cooperation.
