Gabriela Ruiz is an experienced litigator who represents individual and corporate clients in disputes, investigations, and government enforcement actions arising from allegations of fraud and bribery, with a focus on Latin America. She is particularly focused on the defense of civil and criminal actions that are politically motivated or pursued through corrupt means. Ms. Ruiz also handles intellectual property disputes, cross-border discovery, and insolvency-related proceedings.
Before joining Kobre & Kim, Ms. Ruiz practiced at Holland & Knight in Miami, where she represented clients in cross-border arbitrations and other commercial disputes. Prior to that, she practiced at Farella, Braun + Martel, where she handled white-collar criminal matters and corporate investigations, intellectual property disputes, and other complex business litigation.
