Mary O’Connor’s practice focuses on representing public companies and their officers and directors in securities litigation, internal investigations, and regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings, as well as commercial litigation and arbitration. Before joining the women-owned law firm of Farrow-Gillespie Heath Witter LLP in 2016, Mary was a partner in an AmLaw 100 firm and D&O panel counsel for a leading provider of Director and Officer’s liability coverage.
Her recent representations include representing a publicly-traded oil and gas company in an SEC investigation of a $300,000,000 acquisition; representing a publicly-traded oilfield services company in an SEC investigation of accounting practices and disclosures; and representing the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of a publicly-held retail chain in an internal investigation of inventory accounting and related internal controls issues, ending in restatement.
