In addition to criminal defense and defense of asset forfeiture, I help clients navigate a variety of issues that arise from prosecutions and criminal investigations, including the impact on clients' banking relationships, their assets, and their commercial relationships. I am based in Miami, was born in South America, am a native Spanish speaker and have a geographic focus of Latin America.
I have been involved in some of the highest-profile cases in South Florida, including the successful representation of Raoul Weil, the former head of global wealth management at UBS who was acquitted of conspiracy to defraud the IRS, as well as the representation of the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball in its highly publicized suit against Biogenesis.
Before practicing law, I was a financial associate with a large accounting firm, where I specialized in fraud investigations, corporate bankruptcy, corporate recovery and related litigation issues.
