Ms. Zellan’s recent work includes:
- representing at trial, ending in complete acquittal, a construction company manager accused of reckless assault in connection with an accident on a construction site;
- representing a privately held art gallery served with subpoenas by state and federal law enforcement seeking to repatriate purportedly looted artifacts;
- representing an artist in an SEC investigation regarding compensation disclosure requirements, securing a settlement that avoided litigation and potential criminal prosecution;
- representing a bio-pharmaceutical entrepreneur and hedgefund founder facing eight counts of securities fraud and conspiracy to commit securities fraud in the EDNY, securing acquittal on five of eight counts at trial; continuing representation through parallel SEC proceedings, and through sentence, incarceration and satisfaction of forfeiture Order:
- representing a construction company under investigation by the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York for financial fraud in Federal Court and securing a non-prosecution agreement for the company;
- representing an individual accused of insider trading in SDNY and securing a probationary sentence;
- representing foreign nationals under investigation for alleged sexual assault while visiting the United States and securing the closure of the investigations without any charges filed;
