Anita Hill is a former Assistant Federal Public Defender in the District of Puerto Rico. During her six-year tenure at the Federal Public Defender’s Office she investigated and tried white collar, violent crime, money laundering, drug trafficking, RICO Act, and Hobbs Act cases. After leaving the Federal Public Defender’s Office she founded the Law Offices of Anita Hill, LLC where she has investigated, litigated and tried high-profile white-collar cases, drug trafficking offenses, violent crimes death penalty offenses. She has represented over a dozen of death penalty eligible defendants, served as local counsel and obtained no seeks from the Department of Justice in all death penalty eligible cases. Anita also has successfully argued cases before the First Circuit Court of Appeals. As an accomplished litigator, Anita has successfully represented clients at the Grand Jury stage resulting in no prosecution. She also represents clients charged with conspiracy, honest services fraud, mail fraud, health care fraud and money laundering.
Anita was a member of the Puerto Rico National Swim Team participating and obtaining medals at the Central American and Pan American Games, she was also a member of the 1980 and 1984 Olympic Team.
