Elizabeth Franklin-Best is the owner of a boutique law firm that focuses on federal direct criminal appeals and other federal post-conviction cases including compassionate release petitions. Elizabeth is licensed in South Carolina, New York, and the Federal Courts of Appeal for the DC Circuit, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Circuits. She is also licensed and has represented clients in the United States Supreme Court. Elizabeth is a Co-Chair for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals Amicus Committee with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). She is also on the Board of Directors for Justice 360, an organization dedicated to advancing equality in death penalty and juvenile justice issues.
