Ms. Patodia’s  practice focuses on Dispute Resolution: Litigation & Arbitration. She represents domestic and international clients in complex and highly contentious commercial litigation and arbitration matters across courts and arbitral forums in India including the Supreme Court of India. In her legal career spanning more than three decades, Ms. Patodia has represented clients ranging from Fortune500 companies to closely held Indian and foreign companies. As the Indian antitrust counsel for The Dow Chemical Company, Ms. Patodia made the filing for combination clearance with the Competition Commission of India. The deal is one of the largest cross border combination/mergers.

Ms. Patodia notably created a specialist practice group at the firm on Anti Corruption & White Collar Crimes handling advisory and litigation assignments as well as internal corporate investigations for various multinational clients across India. She has also been assisting and representing one of the firm’s international clients in a leading case on corporate corruption pending in India. Ms. Patodia frequently writes on the topic of Corruption and International Trade.

Ms. Patodia also heads the Firm’s International Trade & Customs Practice Group and regularly represents clients from across the globe in several anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard duty investigations in India.

For her legal acumen, Ms. Patodia has been consistently featured and rated as a leading practitioner by several international publications, including Chambers Global ,Legal500, Chambers & Partners and has received several global commendations for her ‘practical and result oriented’ work. Dua’s International Trade Team headed by Ms. Patodia has been consistently rated as “one of the best trade team in India”. She has been listed as a Leading individual and a key practitioner for Dispute Resolution (Chamber & Partners 2018, Legal 500 2018), a Notable practitioner with a ‘solid track record and experience in representing multinational companies on anti-corruption and fraud matters’ (Chamber & Partners 2018, Legal 500 2018) and a Notable Practitioner/Leading Individual who is ‘very experienced in providing anti-dumping defense’ for International Trade/ WTO matters (Chamber & Partners 2018, Legal 500 2018).

Ms. Patodia holds a Bachelor’s  degree in Commerce from The Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Government Law College, Bombay and is a Solicitor, The Incorporated Law Society, Bombay. Ms. Patodia is an Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court of India and is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Bombay Bar Association and is an Associate Member of Delhi High Court Bar Association.
