In my Student & Athlete Defense Practice, I handle a variety of matters involving educational services and student discipline. I have achieved great success representing students and professors in campus Title IX proceedings. I am particularly adept at navigating the challenges and intricacies of parallel university and law enforcement investigations. My extensive experience with sexual assault cases proves invaluable for clients subject to Title IX proceedings. I have also represented Greek organizations involved in student disciplinary matters and assisted with drafting policies and implementing member training. When campus misconduct matters have required litigation, I have filed suit in federal courts across the country and successfully negotiated resolutions.
My criminal defense practice has grown to include representation of people with complex mental health and neurological disorders. I serve as a tireless advocate for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (“ASD”) who are facing prosecution. My understanding of ASD enables me to effectively communicate the social and behavioral deficits associated with ASD to prosecutors, judges and educators.
