Brazil

The Brazil Chapter was launched in March 2019. It provides a forum for talented and experienced senior lawyers and consultants who are in the area of White Collar Defense and Investigations, to gather, network and discuss significant issues and challenges in relation to the field. Professionals in this area are defined as those who specialize in the representation of corporations, other organizations and individuals facing government enforcement actions (criminal, civil, regulatory, and administrative), as well as in internal investigations, compliance and ethics matters.

Our mission is to provide members regular opportunities to build relationships and network, attend educational programming, and broaden professional opportunities and resources for our members across Brazil and internationally.

CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

The Brazil Chapter accepts Law Firm Attorney Members and Consultant Members as defined:

Law Firm Attorney Member: Attorney private practitioners practicing in the area of White Collar Defense and Compliance, defined as those who represent or assist companies, other organizations and individuals in connection with the wide-range of white collar government investigations and enforcement actions (criminal, civil, regulatory, and administrative), internal investigations, compliance and ethics counseling, and related matters.

Consultant Member: Professionals who work at consulting firms (or non-attorney professionals who work at law firms) who assist clients on matters in the White Collar Defense and Compliance field as previously defined, and who otherwise qualify under the WWCDA membership criteria and offer support services and referral opportunities to attorneys in the practice.

Some WWCDA and chapter events may be limited to attorney private practitioner (law firm attorney) members only.
