Founded in November 2019, the San Diego Chapter of the Women's White Collar Defense Association is comprised of women white collar practitioners who regularly defend corporations and individuals in criminal, civil, administrative, and appellate proceedings arising out of federal and state investigations and who routinely do internal investigations and advise clients on effective compliance strategies to avoid or remediate a government investigation.
San Diego is the eighth largest city in the U.S. (second in the state of California) with a metro population of more than 3 million. Home to breakthrough companies in the life science, communications, and software industries, and to the largest military concentration in the world, the region has been recognized as one of the leading tech hubs in the country. As such, the women in the WWCDA San Diego Chapter are diverse and our backgrounds varied. Current Chapter members include former high-ranking government officials from, among other agencies, DOJ and the US Attorneys' offices, with specialties such as antitrust, anti-corruption and compliance, cybercrime, government contracting, healthcare, securities, and tax.
The San Diego Chapter is committed to enhancing business development and educational opportunities for our members and mentoring younger women associates in the white collar field. We encourage active participation in social events, networking opportunities, and other programming.
