The Toronto Chapter of the Women's White Collar Defense Association was founded in 2015 to provide local, regional, and national networking opportunities for female lawyers in the southern Ontario areas whose practices focus on representing companies and individuals in connection with the investigation and prosecution of criminal and regulatory violations at the federal and provincial levels.

This Chapter seeks to foster relationships between those women in the GTA areas who are actively working on white collar matters and to promote cross referrals within the Chapter and within the White Collar Defence Association as a whole. The Chapter intends to host networking events quarterly.

Toronto is the most populous city in Canada, and the capital of the province of Ontario and the fourth most populous city in North America, located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. Toronto is a prominent centre for music, theatre, motion picture production, and television production. Toronto is also well known for its skyscrapers and high-rise buildings, in particular the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere, the CN Tower. As Canada’s commercial capital, the city is home to the Toronto Stock Exchange, the headquarters of Canada’s five largest banks, and the headquarters of many large Canadian and multinational corporations. Its economy is highly diversified with strengths in technology, design, financial services, life sciences, education, arts, fashion, business services, environmental innovation, transportation, food services, and tourism.
