VIRGINIA

The Virginia Chapter was founded in 2024. There is a growing prominence of professionals in white collar practice in the federal and state courts in the Commonwealth. Members of the Virginia Chapter represent clients across a broad spectrum of white collar matters, including government investigations, federal and state trial defense, and qui tam actions. The Virginia Chapter works to provide valuable networking events to members and to seek out opportunities to highlight and recognize the expertise of its members. The Virginia Chapter holds quarterly meetings over breakfast or lunch, rotating locations throughout Virginia, and hosts additional special programming periodically.

CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

The Virginia Chapter accepts Law Firm Attorney Members and Consultant Affiliate Members as defined:

Law Firm Attorney Member: Attorney private practitioners primarily practicing in the area of White Collar Defense and Compliance, defined as those who represent or assist companies, other organizations and individuals in connection with the wide-range of white collar government investigations and enforcement actions (criminal, civil, regulatory, and administrative), internal investigations, compliance and ethics counseling, and related matters.

Consultant Affiliate Member: Professionals who work at consulting firms (or non-attorney professionals who work at law firms) and who assist clients on matters in the White Collar Defense and Compliance field as previously defined, and who otherwise qualify under the WWCDA membership criteria and offer support services and referral opportunities to attorneys in the practice. The affiliate status will permit you to participate in certain activities of the chapter and WWCDA.

Some WWCDA and chapter events may be limited to attorney private practitioner (law firm attorney) members only.

All Members and Affiliate Members must have their primary work address in the same location as our chapter.
